On Tuesday, October 13th, Chi Omega and FIJI hosted the Picknickin’ N Wishin’ dinner at the FIJI house benefitting our philanthropy, Make-A-Wish. We raised money by selling $5 tickets around campus, and all of the money we raised went to Make-A-Wish Mid South. Supporting this organization means a great deal to the ladies of our chapter and it was a honor to do all that we could in order to contribute the best of effort. We love knowing that the support we raise goes directly to our community and an organization that has impacted our very chapter. This is inspiring to all of us because we are able to see where our efforts go. We have been able to be a part of some of these wishes and events. They help us get to the lives we hope to touch through this organization. This is dear to the heart of Chi Omega.
The dinner could not have gone better. We truly all had so much fun and it was an incredible opportunity for all Greek life. We could not have asked for better weather; the sun was shining with a perfect fall breeze. It was the classic picnic style, with red and white table cloths, hot dogs, chips, soda, and delicious desserts. Members of our sorority we able to contribute to the desserts would allowed a variety to choose from! In addition to some good music, conversation, and the raising of support, the evening created a sweet atmosphere. We are so thankful to be a part of something far greater than ourselves.
