RECRUITMENT

Meet our Recruitment Chair!
My name is Sophia Shepherd and I get the privilege of serving as the Chi Omega, Psi Recruitment Chair this year! This role is genuinely a dream come true and one I hold with so much gratitude. This place means so much to me, and I am so excited that I get to lead the way for a new pledge class to fall in love with Chi Omega just as I did. My goal throughout this process is to make sure that every woman who enters our doors feels seen, respected, and welcomed exactly as they are, because that is the foundation of our sisterhood.
Starting college can come with a lot of excitement, anticipation, and often uncertainty. I remember sitting in your shoes feeling excited and overwhelmed all at the same time. Recruitment can add to those emotions, and that's okay. Freshman-year me had no idea the impact that one decision would make on my life, but I am eternally grateful that the journey led me to Chi Omega. There is no “right” way to walk through this experience. You don’t need to have everything figured out, say the perfect things, or fit a certain mold. What matters most is showing up as yourself. We truly want to get to know you, your why, your story, your heart!
Chi Omega, Psi is made up of women who lead with intention, support one another consistently, and show up even when it's hard. The friendships found here are steady and genuine, and the women I have met through this chapter will be my people for life. This chapter has taught me how important it is to surround yourself with women who challenge you to grow, but still give you space to be exactly who you are. At the heart of our sisterhood is the belief in choosing the people who choose you. Choosing women who invest in you, stand beside you, and lead with intention. Chi Omega encourages me to grow closer to the person I have always dreamt of becoming. It has shown me that home is much more than a physical address–it's the people who fill it, the values they share, and the way they choose one another every day.
I can't wait to meet each and every one of you!
XOXO,
Sophia Shepherd

Meet our New Member Educator!
Dear Potential New Member,
My name is Kate Pullin, and I am so excited and honored to serve as this year's New Member Educator! My role is to walk alongside you as you begin your journey not only into Chi Omega, but into college as a whole. From the moment you open your bid card to the day you are initiated, I am here to make sure you know you belong here. With that being said, I think the most beautiful part of my role is that it never truly ends. I will be your friend and your biggest cheerleader every step of the way. No matter where you are or what will come your way – I will always be in your corner.
I know recruitment can feel intimidating, and that is completely normal. My biggest piece of advice is come just as you are. Don’t change yourself for anyone or any house – who you are is enough, exactly as you are. When I was going through recruitment, I remember doubting myself and wondering if I needed to say or act a certain way. I can promise you that is the furthest thing from the truth. We want to know YOU for who YOU really are. Please know that you are so loved and so valued. You do not have to be perfect. None of us are, and that is what makes this place so special. Something Chi Omega has taught me is that there is always a seat at the table. Come as you are! You are enough!
As I think about Chi Omega and the women who fill this place, there are countless words I could use and so many stories I could tell. If I had to sum it up, the love found here is real, uplifting, empowering, and safe. I have never experienced a community like Chi Omega — it is truly something special. There are women here bringing so many different, wonderful things to our sisterhood, and no matter where you come from or who you are, you are welcomed and valued. Chi Omega is about grabbing hands with women who are constant and loyal, walking through both the highs and the lows of life together, and knowing you never have to do it alone. It’s more than a place – it's home.
I am so excited to meet each of you, and I'm giddy at the thought of all the memories we will make. More than anything, I am so thankful for the opportunity to get to know each of you. No matter where this journey leads you, I hope you know how proud I already am of you for showing up and taking this step. Trust the process, trust yourself, and know that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
XOXO,
Kate Pullin
